A short while ago I decided to make one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make, do I stay or do I go?
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t even hesitate at the thought of it, it was an immediate yes from me, but as the time got closer, of course things got a little more real.
Traveling across the world is a daunting task, not something to be taken lightly. Of course with all the strict rules and regulations to get into Australia there is a procedure to follow.
After going through the full medical, X-rays and all the forms, all I could do was wait… wait to see if I’d get my visa approved… as you can imagine, the wait felt like forever, and it didn’t matter how many times you checked the status it hadn’t changed.
A few days later I heard my phone and couldn’t figure out what the notification was for until I realized that in my inbox was an email that would change my life, my Visa had been approved and the adrenaline and excitement that ran through my body was unexplainable.
It was one of those moment where you couldn’t figure out when you’d wake up, because, surely this was all a dream? Me, having this opportunity? Surely not, but believe it or not, in a few short weeks I’d be getting on the plane to start the biggest adventure I’d ever imagined.
I’d always wanted to move and here was my chance only a few steps away. It took a few short weeks to organize everything, get our stuff all shipped and before I knew it, we were in the car on the way to the airport, ready to go to the place I’d now call home.
Let me tell you, the build up was not only physically draining but emotionally draining too. There was so much to do and so much to organize that it felt like my feet never touched the ground.
From the minute we booked the flights I knew it was all a reality, and it was time to get excited for what was to come.
Are you ready to hear how the rest of my adventure went?
Follow me!
Yours faithfully,
Xx
